Description
Overview
Physics and physiology combine as students use their bodies as the experimental apparatus. The Goniometer can be connected to the knee, hip or elbow joints to measure angle changes during a variety of movements. Use with a bluetooth capable PASCO Interface for a compact, easy-to-use human motion lab.
This Goniometer Sensor includes one probe for measuring motion of a single joint. To measure a second joint simultaneously, purchase an additional Goniometer probe and plug it into the second port of your Goniometer Sensor.
Typical Applications
- Angular Motion: Measure the angular position, velocity and acceleration for the arm or leg.
- Tangential Velocity: Simply enter the correct radius and DataStudio will calculate the linear velocity for any point on the arm or leg.
- Torque and Power: Use with a Force Sensor to measure the power generated by the arm or leg when lifting an object. Using DataStudio, integrate the power vs. time graph to find the energy used.
Includes
- Goniometer Probe
- Angle Sensor
- Velcro Straps (two tone)
