This Microslide® lesson set consists of 30 Microslide® strips, each showing images of DNA and chromosomes in various forms; 30 explanatory manuals containing factual information to stimulate, inform, and question the student about the topic plus a handy pocket in which to store the Microslide® strip; a reproducible student worksheet set; and a sturdy, labeled storage box. A Microslide® strip displays 8 related 35-mm images as photographed through a microscope, with important features highlighted. This Microslide® strip includes photomicrographs of a DNA molecule, coiling chromosomes, Lampbrush chromosomes, loop of Lampbrush chromosomes, giant chromosomes, chromosome puffs (stained and tagged), nuclear pores, and ribosomes.
