This Microslide® contains 30 lesson sets consists of 10 Microslide® showing different kinds of rocks and rock-forming minerals and an explanatory manual containing factual information to stimulate, inform, and question the student about the topic. The manual also features a handy pocket in which the Microslide® may be stored. A Microslide® is a strip of 8 related 35-mm images as photographed through a microscope, with important features highlighted. This Microslide® includes images of red sandstone, shell limestone, basalt, granite, pyroxenite, quartzite, mica schist, and dolomitic marble. Microslide® Viewer (item #489700) is sold separately.
