Great for small groups or for students who are learning from home!
Grades 6–12. Students race to the finish with balloon-powered race cars and Newton’s laws of motion. They design, build, and test a prototype race car, and then explore how changes to the wheels, body, and balloon alter performance. This hands-on kit gives students the opportunity to learn how to design to overcome friction and stabilizing forces. It includes activity instructions and enough safe-at-home materials for up to 3 design teams.
