Description
The EnteroPluri offers a convenient, accurate solution to rapid identification of members of the Enterobacteriaceae and other Gram-negative, oxidase-negative bacteria. Each self-contained plastic tube has 12 compartments containing distinct culture media, plus an inoculating wire to simultaneously inoculate all media in the sections and complete 15 standard biochemical tests. After inoculating the tube and incubating it for 18–24 hours at 36° C ±1°, the user evaluates color changes of the different media (a combination of positive and negative reactions), forms a 5-digit code, and uses the EnteroPluri Codebook (item #801026, sold separately) to identify the microorganism.
