Now you can use both digital and analog ScienceWorkshop sensors with National Instruments’ Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (NI ELVIS) interface. NI ELVIS combines instrumentation, data acquisition and a prototyping board in one unit. For more information on NI LabVIEW™ and NI ELVIS, visit
To collect data, plug an Analog or Digital Adapter into the prototyping board and insert a sensor. Connect the adapter to the appropriate I/O ports on ELVIS and the system is ready to use. Once data has been collected, students can use the power and flexibility of LabVIEW software to display and condition the data as needed. This system provides the perfect opportunity for students to learn about digital and analog data processing techniques.
Virtual instruments for using PASCO sensors are available FREE on our website. Use these VIs to get started or modify them to fit the needs of your laboratory.
